A participating merchant have to purchase certain amount of Points to facilitate the awarding of Points whenever a membership card is presented. Merchant will decide the Points rebate to be given out to card member, which will normally be pre-programmed at the POS payment terminal.

With enough Point, card member can redeem merchandises or services at participating merchant establishment. The card is swiped at the POS payment terminal for Points deduction in exchange of merchandises or services. Participating merchant who provide redemption services will be credited either in the form of amount or Points. Thus the participating merchant will generates sales whenever when a membership card redeem at their establishment.

The balance of Points for membership card can be instantly known by portal, URewards website or at POS payment terminal.

All co-brand membership card can be acceptable at any participating URewards merchant.
